@mygriffin There was a few ships with that name, and another aircraft carrier named USS Saratoga which was built in the late 50's and served into the early 90's. I am guessing that is the one he is talking about. The ship had a few issues, such as one of the F-14 Tomcats shooting down an american RF-4 Phantom II. Also firing anti-ship missiles at a friendly vessel, killing 5 on board. The ship is currently in Rhode Island sitting next to another carrier, both awaiting the scrapper. :(
can someone tell me what the movie name is? thx ;)

whats the name of the model of the boat?

The boat used in this movie is a Formosa 51, although it appears modified to make it look like an all-wood boat. Three or four boats were used, one in the beginning of the movie when the boat is in horrible shape. One of the "good condition" boats ended up in Kemah, TX in the late 90s where it was available for day charters.
