On November 13, 1974, the DeFeo family was murdered in their home at 112 Ocean Avenue by their eldest son. Thirty seven years later, the questions persist as to how one person committed the crime. The DeFeos memory was overshadowed by the claims of the Lutz family who purchased their home a year later and fled in 28 days claiming it was haunted. This video was produced by KatcoMedia, who is bringing forth a new documentary that explores the case and reveals new information about the family and their lives. Many of the clips used in this video do not appear in the documentary. On this day, we take a moment to remember the DeFeos -- not for their "infamous" house -- but for them and who they were.
