You sound like such a dumbass haha. If you knew Guthrie's playing at all you'd know its not about shred, its about elements. Chromaticism, modal shifts, things other players can't even comprehend. Don't call me an idiot because you think Buckethead is the coolest thing cause you saw him on Guitar Hero and it was hard to play. I'm not knocking the man at all, did you miss the part where i said he was an "incredible musician". Take your fanboyism elsewhere.

Nowadays, shredding doesn't make you the best. Nothing makes you the best. It's a matter of who can do what. Buckthead has his own lane in music, he actually created his own genre of music which no one can play besides him. The ability to shred is impressive, and does spark the mind to think/believe that guitarist is AMAZING. But what matters most at the end of the day is feeling and musicianship, and creativeness. There is no "best" or "better" guitarist.
