This test was performed with the help of David Bachelder from QuickBurst(quickburst.net). We used an Epic resistor from Vishay Sfernice (used in airbags) to trigger his H3 mixture. The mixture and materials are going to be optimized to prevent shattering of the plastic plate(it was made out of PVC and we kept using them even though it shattered because we had a few made) and to provide a slower explosion. The SRC-1 is our SeaTag™ Releasable Carrier. It has a solar panel to recharge it's Eneloop batteries for a reliable triggering even after extended deployment in the ocean. Thanks to David for coming out to help us with this project, he's a really honest guy and a lot of fun to work with. The microphone on the waterproof camera isn't very good, sorry. You'll hear me say I owe Marco a coke at the end, that's because I bet him that this one would go off for sure and that it wouldn't shatter the PVC. I was wrong, PVC isn't a good material for the back plate.
