the first quote is from 2005. Lucas was saying he was going to start doing films that have nothing to do with star wars, and that he didn't expect star wars fans to like what he was going to be doing...sorta like starting all over in the movie biz.

I have to agree with Alec Guiness on the dialogue part I think Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy had WAY better dialogue than the prequels did.
