Crystal Defenders without a Thief 2 of 2

How To Video: Part 2 of 2. Crystal Defenders, beating world 1 without deploying a thief. This strategy was originally perfect, but then there was an update on XBL and now it no longer works. You can use the same idea to get pretty far, but you will need to tweak it a bit to have success. Good resources include many who have commented on this video. Some have made slightly modified versions that improve on my initial methods. If you have questions, just ask. I remove all rude comments promptly, so just ask nicely.

Gosh I did this 4 times already and the fucking wave 27 keeps going wrong...What am I supposed to do?

@Lokusas Sorry that wave is giving you trouble, it was the hardest for me too. There have been some update patches to XBL that changed the game stats slightly, affecting the way you need to set it up. Check some of the comments below, it may take some time, but I believe you will find your answer. Oh and please try to keep the language clean, this site is for everyone. Thanks.

what the hell i am getting very p***ed with getting the achievement i managed to pass the wave were you rush the 3 lel 3's and the end of the map with out upgrading when when i got up to level 27 were i also get f***ed ever time using the extra $ i had got some of the towers later in the video then at lel 30 had the same towers as the video + some other towers and still could not get the f***ing achievement this is by far one of the most f***ed achievement in the world

I just did it exactly 100% the same as the video and it worked. IDK what the patch was for, but this does work. I had to replay a few parts of the video towards the end because things happened so fast. If you watch closely and pause to compare, follow it exactly and it works the same.

P.S. I suggest watching the wave completely before you try it for yourself.

Final wave failed for me even though I did exactly as you did... Seems that this guide is not a 100% success. It is a pretty damn hard achievement, though.

i feel sorry for the handheld carriers that try this(the non-IP versions) because the other versions have unit caps(38 i think) making it impossible for them to copy the setup :D

@madstheboy I used to think the same thing, but then somebody asked me, "why would anyone want to create a game that didn't make you happy or fulfilled?" That wouldn't make sense so I let it go. It was quite rediculous, I wasn't laughing, I seriously thought some game designer was out to get me - lol. Now I laugh about it. Best of luck to ya.

@madstheboy Not sure exactly, but I did notice a difference because it worked when I did it, and now the same setup does not work. It's frustrating because I worked long and hard to get that figured out too.
