a trailer for my student project film in lasalle school of the arts.
Ayu is set during the actual 1964 racial conflict between the Malay and Chinese in Singapore.
The film Ayu is about the life of a young Malay girl, controlled by strict Malay traditions. Ayu is in love with Ah Hup, a local Chinese boy but fears the wrath of her narrow-minded family until one day when all her courage are mustered to do what she has to do.
