This is a suite of eight Greek folk dances, adapted and arranged for mandolin by Victor Kioulaphides. The individual tunes are (as given in the composer's score; I don't have their Greek names):

1. Sing, My Pretty Birds
2. I Climbed the Cherry-Tree
3. Uncle John the Potter
4. The Partridge
5. How Beautiful is Zakynthos!
6. On The Foam of the Sea
7. Dimitroula
8. The Nightingales Sing

I have tried to keep the playing loose and informal, in keeping with the folkloristic nature of the material. Many thanks to Victor for this inspiring music, and apologies for my copious mistakes.

Played on my 1915 Luigi Embergher Tipo A bowlback mandolin.

I have also recorded Victor's Athenian Mandolinata (see video responses below).
