I know that characters have to die sometimes but it really pisses me off sometimes. Thunder was one of my favorite characters from the outsiders, especially when the series began. She had so much hope and was a true idealist. She got into the hero bizz for all the right reasons and was an important anchor to reality and the moral center of the team. It also makes me angry because her dad didn’t want her to get into this because of this very reason and the danger involved. I hate when they prove the nay sayers right. I want people to overcome the adversity and defy the odds not fall victim to them. This issue seams to be less about RIP and more about turning the team over to Batgirl. We knew that Batman couldn’t stick with this forever so I’m not surprised that this is happening I just think it sucks that Thunder had to die. Oh well. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Nooooo! Not Thunder! Why didnt they just create some idiot nameless redshirt and build them up and then kill them? What a waste.

Don't know a lot about Thunder, except that BL's creator, Tony Isabella wasn't happy about her creation.
This of course, is Standard Operating Procedure for DC. Namely bring in a character for just enough 'screen time' so fans know them, only to kill them off for a single issue sales boost.
Another reason, I'm shifting my buying from DC to Marvel, plus independents.

Another DC killing for no reason. I just hope all these dead folk pop up in Blackest Night to not have so many die recently without a secret agenda for storylines beyond that one issues sell point.
