  • @firebo14 It is most certainly not. It has no emotion. You feel nothing listening to your version. I'm sorry but you are 100% wrong.

  • If this is what you believe, I have nothing more to say.

  • @stokastia I also looked at the sheet music of that piece you mentioned. I can imagine where the 8 comes from. Chopin really has his way of deceiving you into thinking some of his pieces are easy, doesn't he? O, big-handed romantic piano composers, how I loathe thee!

  • @stokastia I'm not judging by ear ;). I'm judging by playing it (or in the case of Dearly B. CP failing at it :P). But I read that most grading systems don't go beyond 8, so 9 should be like craptastically hard, yet TOP's difficulty doesn't come near a lot of other pieces. Not saying it's easy; it's extremely difficult, but I can't believe it's on the same lv as, say, Chopin Op. 10. By your judgement I dare settle at 8 :P.

  • @Uboichi I don't know if you play piano, but the grading system isn't determined by the speed. Several other factors influence it like the size of chords, how fast you need to move between chords (3:02), length of the peice, special techniques, dynamics. Just based on the length of the peice alone it would have to be grade 8 or higher. Factoring other things I'm sure grade 9. If you listen to Chopin's prelude in b minor, I'm sure you'll agree that it seems like a grade 4 song, but it's in 8 ;)

  • @Pr0udDragon I personally don't think the rolls are that hard in general. If you want to get my drift, take a look at Dearly Beloved CP. DBCP has way harder rolls, almost comparable with Chopin Op. 10 no.1, while in this one they're mostly easy chords played really quickly. Still, this isn't a walk in the park or anything, but if lv9 is the highest level, then this doesn't come close to 9 (I don't know much about those grading systems).

  • Dang it! I think I'm Pavlovian-conditioned! Every time I hear this song, I start to cry!

  • this type of music doesn't make me cry but it leaves me in such a state of calm that I can almost fall asleep like this if your the same

  • @stokastia That does sound a bit more accurate. Those rolls are definitely not easy to play.

  • @Pr0udDragon

I'd say more like a level 8 or 9. I don't know any kid in level 6 that could play this. Those rolls are pretty quick and you wouldnt see those till around 8 at minimum.

  • Funny how both of the top comments are by the video's poster.

  • @CiZination Ah alright, thanks. It's still a pretty impressive piece, in my opinion.
