We have given this twice in May 1998. Alexander Sviatov is principal on the guitar. Genia Ballad is both accompanying and soloing, and for a moment he's also on the bass backing my piano.
I composed this piece, combining renaissance melodies by Francesco da Milano and Vincenzo Galilei, and piano fragments from 'Get Off My Bach' by George Shearing and 'When Bach Smiles' by Igor Yakushenko. My idea was to make a largely classical composition lightly touched in places by Baroque-jazz . Only one insertion - my original contribution in the middle - looks harder due to bass guitar's assistance, yet it still is Baroque.
Please enjoy it, and let me know if you really do this. Cheers!
