I used to have to do stuff like this. Ugh. But it's nowhere near as bad as being in honors throughout all of middle/high school.

lol Iam asian and i think people have the misconception that we are smarter than americans. What it really is is the american education system is more relax when your younger but as you get to college level the gap slowly closes and everyone that can go through school will all have the same knowledge. Its just a head start lol and intelligent cant be measure by how much you know of something that can be taught but how creative you are.

I NOT FAR AWAY FROM SG KUMON

I recently met a Kumon instructor from the US when I went to Japan for the Kumon's 50th Anniversary celebration and she said the same thing! She said in the US, most of the kids who go to Kumon are Asians.

Maybe kids at 1st Grade in Asia. Majority of the kids in US and Canada can't even handle single digit addition or subtraction. Sad to see kids' Math standard so low in North America. All the parents in NA just too emphasize on sports for their kids. Academically just pathetic.... That's the fact, I'm sorry.
Chinese kids are more smart than Americans...I think they get taught more faster than Americans!!! I started doing that math in first grade!! and shes not even 4 years old!!! wow very amazing... when has she start multipication?

I don't think it has anything to do with nationality or race. I just started Emily earlier and I believe any kids can do it given the same amount of attention and practice. She started multiplication when she started Level B. Now she's doing Level D (equivalent to Primary 4), doing double-digit multiplications now.
