@lockergnome There is a difference in software that costs $200+, and a a hamburger that costs $2. A hamburger isn't going to costs a months rent. Not everyone is as rich as you.

The hamburger was an example used by Chris, so I decided to use it. As for the 200 dollars, it was something that came into mind. It'll buy you groceries for a few weeks, depending on how big your family is.

A hamburger would be an actual 2 dollars lost. however the software would be theoretically 200 dollars. this is due to you can copy software you cannot copy a hamburger -.-

Well, people complain that their favorite obscure artist doesn't do much anymore because everyone illegally downloads their songs. IF they bought it, even if directly from the artist, then we wouldn't have poopy songs like Call Me Maybe as #1 on iTunes!

because piracy is part of a healthy society, the ones always talking about the evils of piracy are the record labels and big corporations, people are willing to pay a fair price for fair services, and some times trying out some free stuff will make you buy something you wouldn't normally buy.
