There isn't a thing wrong with disliking babies. Society tells us we're supposed to smile at them and look adoringly at them when we see them out in public with their mothers. If you like kids, fine. But there are too many people out there who talk about those of us who don't share their feelings as if we're scum, which makes no sense. My main issue with children is their incessant crying and cuddling them is not always the solution. Babies often cry simply because they're inherently selfish.

And maybe some people not liking babies is natures way of telling them the world is already overpopulated and there are enough children that are in overcrowded orphanages or ones that aren't being taken care of so dont breed if it's not needed. To the person that said it really means people who don't want kids just suck..

@mplsmn1975 yeah I agree that babies often cry just bcuz theyre selfish or taught to be more selfish when the parents coddle them 24/7, which I guess not my business but I think you can over spoil a child of any age, babies included. A lot of people might say I'm crazy or ridiculous but why do you think some babies cry even for seemingly no reason and never seem to be happy. Glad to see someone else agrees with me :)

@BlackCurtainsFall I may of misunderstood when you said ' We are smart enough to realize the consequences of adding unnecessary people to the world.' Making a point of saying that it's the intelligent people who choose not to breed should be followed by something a bit more complimentary to your own intelligence. Consider if in fact you have such genetics then you should reproduce. If however you mean to say you are merely at least smart enough not to reproduce then thank you.

@BlackCurtainsFall Exactly. I am an intelligent person who opted to breed. You should not make too many assumptions unless by 'you' you meant to generalize in which case I agree that more should adopt but unintelligent people can influence an adopted child to behave as poorly or as well as anyone regardless of genetics. Learned behavior can ruin potential. I would like it if 'stupid' people kept their hands out of the pot altogether but actual intelligence isn't everything.
