How not 2 fly a R22

How not to fly a Robinson 22 helicopter.
A high hour student pilot just cant seem to get the hang of the controls.
Think the Instructor must have big cahona's.

All the good flying was done by the instructor, think he was a pretty brave calm guy for putting up with this kind of flying.

He was on about 40hrs, so by then you would at least expect that you would be able to hover.

look at the wind sock. blowing 25 knots plus. not to mention mechanical turbulance around the buildings. the instructor is a chump for taking the student up and waisting his money!

Yeah, with pitch/roll and yaw CSAS, anyone can hover a BK117 dude.

I have to agree with at 40hrs you should be doing much better than that...but the instructor did a great job at correcting and putting it back on the ground safely. Good patience. I hope that wasnt a solo flight because he obviously did not have good control of the heli!

@williambrodie your right, I was a dick for being so harsh. Was he soloing, Hey to get to that point is not easy. And i can now understand how someone with high hours might have trouble. I been flying fixed wing but i had two 6 month breaks. Had i flew a couple times every week withno breaks i would have improved faster.
