Ride along on freight trains crossing Australias vast desolate Nullabor Desert , where temperatures reach 45 degrees celcius, home to the worlds longest straight stretch of railway 478km 297 miles
i have done the east west trip by road rail ship and car one day I may even fly lol but train is the best so far i am close to 20 trip on the indian pacific and never get sick of it'
@DieselSmoke92 Tat's only one class of locomotive. Australian railways all used to be government owned, and each state had their own ideas about how to run them, and what to put on the rails. These locomotives are the backbone of what's known as the Indian Pacific line
WOW. The Australian southern outback, the Nullarbor and all through that part of Australia from east to west. I've had a share of it since 1964 and there is nothing else in the Australia that I've been able to see so far that can compare with it's raw beauty. Love it, love it, love it !

I assume the passenger car behind the engines is for carrying relief crews so the train can keep moving?
