Hence the Filipino identity crisis which is inherent with 2nd generations and on. We associate ourselves with the beauty of the motherland, the richness of its culture and our warmth as a people. Yet many of us become desensitized, apathetic and disenchanted with the reality on the ground - back in the motherland. Many of our kababayans wherever they are, are realizing the Filipino can relocate but their Filipino-ness stays with them.
