Kanye West hosted an incredible, nearly two-hour Town Hall-style meeting at Rolling Stone this afternoon, where he played songs from his fall album, jumped up on a board room table to spontaneously rap, and fielded questions about everything from his diet ("Eating celery is not hip-hop!") to his recent internship at Fendi in Italy to the craziest thing he's ever bought (an antique fish tank). It's funny when you say Kanye is a puppet when I've seen Kanye as a producer struggling to be accepted as rapper...I've seen him go from a critically aclaimed Hip Hop producer to one of music's biggest and most influential artists....he's not an artist controlled by his/her's record company...Kanye does what he wants and what he does is make good music...

If Keith Richards had said the exact same thing Kanye West said, all the people here who are hating would agree with those statements. Either you like Him or you don't, but please do not let your personal hate for Kanye cloud the fact that he is an artist who has set a trend for Hip-Hop, much like RUN DMC did. Music is ever changing and this is a tough genre that will always be scrutinized for every little detail.

@mindblobble Cool! you know how to use caps lock and last time I checked Kanye wrote all his lyrics and also produces his own music. It's funny because you live in the middle of nowhere and are probably commenting on a dial up connection through your your fucking kangaroo while Kanye is changing the future of music production and lyricism as we know it.
