Featuring active EMG 81/85 pickups and Kahler tremolo, the LTD JH-600 is one of the greatest imports on the market. In fact, this guitar is superior than many American guitars with similar features. I say that with certainty because I own numerous guitars and have tested tons of other guitars - custom, standard, American, Korean, etc.

The craftmanship, sound and overall quality make the LTD JH-600 an excellent option for heavy metal players. Korea has had some of the greatest guitar luthiers and engineers in recent years, and this guitar is a testament to their talent and attention to detail.

As a test, I upgraded the original Kahler Hybrid tremolo, which has brass rollers, to the more expensive 2300 model, which comes with steel rollers. I didn't get much difference in sound, so my demo is pretty accurate. I still prefer Kahler's Hybrid tremolo. I get a better sound with brass rollers - plus, the Hybrid model has a fixed bridge feature.

I'm using Ernie Ball strings, which in my opinion are by far the best strings for EMG pickups. EMG pickups generate excessive oscillation with string brands such as GHS Boomers and Dean Markley Blue Steel. Ernie Ball strings make EMGs sound clean while maintaining their extremely powerful sound.

Don't believe the myth LTD is a lower quality brand compared to ESP, its parent company. I have an ESP M-II guitar, and my LTD JH-600 is better than my ESP.

  • Hey! My name's Greg, and I'm from southwest Florida (in case you're wondering). Anyway, I went to my local shop today to check out a few axes with good locking trem models, and I saw that exact guitar on the video and a few other LTD's as well. There was also a KH-602 (Kirk Hammett sig), and an H-1001 with a Floyd Original, which looked exactly like my friend's Hellraiser. I played on all 3 and they were all great! It's hard for me to decide between them on which one to get, so any suggestions?

  • @PunkMetalBassMaster throw them all into the air and the one you go for is the one that you want....the others were not worthy.

  • I was saying, active... hahaha made a confusion

  • A shame it has passive pickups, witch is not my style =/

  • the only thing that i can hear is your fuckin strings

  • @PunkMetalBassMaster whichever one you think feels the best, sounds the best, is intonated the best, plays the best, stays in tune best, best shredding neck (if you're a shredder) best tone, etc. just the little things, ya know? hope this helps :)

  • Why do you run everything through such a shitty amp sound?

  • @nonmusicman

Lower range Jackson Warrior is better than lower range Kerry King Signature, but upper range Kerry King Signature is better than upper range Warrior overall.

  • @Madbutcher305 so which guitar would you recommend a B.C Rich Kerry king signature or a jackson warrior...?

  • @nonmusicman

Nope. The 200 has worse pickups and the body wood is basswood, which gives more of a classic shredder tone.

  • @CrisTiano7M3tAllicA

LTD, Edwards, AND ESP are same brand. :P
