Respond to this video... It's because our government believes that they'd be giving the American people too much power if they did that. Requiring mandatory military service among its citizens would mean arming them, not only with weapons, but with the mental capacity to possibly resist imposed changes that may not be in the corporate-owned government's interests. Personally, I think that Israel has the right idea when it comes to its citizens and military service.
