Artist Bio:

Toronto based Jay-T and Chris Mantle (aka Slimmstarr) known as Frozen State are the latest R&B/Hip Hop act to hit the Canadian market. The duo were born in Montreal and raised in Toronto, as well as in North Carolina. Living in various countries, allowed the two brothers to embrace several music cultures which enabled them to develop and craft their own distinct sound. Both Jay-T and Slimmstarr discovered their passion for music while they were both in their teens. Creating, writing and having produced their own original masterpieces by the age of twenty. In the summer of 2004, Frozen State recorded their first seven song self titled CD. in 2007 they released their critically acclaimed Invasion CD. Having a career in music is their life long goal. Their influences include several well known acts such as: Bone thugs-n-harmony, 2pac, Talib Kweli and Busta Rhymes.
