@elgostine I would say that's all Chinese for me (aka gibberish), but unfortunately I understand Mandarin. Sorry, but I don't know a damn thing about anime :D (except the weaboos that result from it, by whom I judge the quality of watching anime in itself).

Yeah, I guess some anime draw their inspiration from historical roots, but that doesn't make the general fandom any smarter or more knowledgeable about Japan beyond anime - shodo, chanoyu, furoshiki, martial arts etc are beyond their grasp.
