Filipina teen singing idol, Josephine "Banig" Roberto sings the Star Spangled Banner for the NBA- Clippers vs. Kings. Banig is the first Filipina who sang the national anthem for the NBA! Banig is also an International Star Search Junior Vocalist champion.

@zulfikarl I know who they are, cuz we're both from the same place. I was talking in general terms, and even with Charice and Ariel being quite popular, it's still not the same kind of popularity that a caucasian or even a black singer is able to achieve. Fact is that it is difficult being an Asian artist, and even Charice talks about the difficulties being a minority in Hollywood. There's a lot of BS Asian artists have to go through to get to the top in the US.

@wantayable from what I can remember she was big in the Philippines and performed internationally. She then moved to the States or something like that. Her career unfortunately did not flourish. Probably due to poor management, the stigma towards Asians, and of course no YT back then. Truth be told, there hasn't been a truly successful Asian that has cracked the US market. It seems like with Asians, talent is not enough. That doesn't apply as much to Caucasians and Blacks.
