See my "Last Run" video for the newest video of the layout. "O" scale three rail model railroad. It took eight years to build and still has a ways to go before it's finished. Lionel, K-line and Mike's Train House scale engines and cars as well as many Atlas cars are used. Lionel Legacy Control system controls all engines. Many Miller Engineering neon signs decorate the town. Buildings are scratch built and modified kits. Gargraves track and 11 electric Ross Custom switches were used throughout the layout. This is my fifth layout.

  • i gotta get me one of these

Oh and how much money did all this cost?

  • @legoworldfan Santa brought it........Don

  • @legoworldfan Well, most of it is labor. I'm guessing track, switches, buildings, wood, transformers, electronics, around 7 to 8 thousand without engines and cars. Plus eight years of fun work.

  • ok WHERE DID YOU RECIEVE A Lima Berk Test 1. This isone the greatest layouts i have ever layed eyes on. You are in the top two. What is the size of your layout? Check out my layout. It is sooo not like yours. It is junky with 0-31 curves, but for some odd reason people like it. Im going to take i down next year.

  • @GoldenCreekValleyRR Thank You, the Lima Berk is a scale K-Line engine. They made this model just before they went out of business. It came in an number of road names plus the Lima Demo. It also came in two different models, depending on the road. The layout is about 22x16 ft in a two car garage. Thanks again, glad you enjoyed. Don

  • This is much more than just a nice layout with some good tunes. This is what you call "real" old school dedication or a true love affair if you will. Most people are rushed these days and you just dont see this kind of dedication and detail anymore. You can see some of my videos and see too that I love detail. Thanks for sharing your layout with the railroad world.

  • @daddyrabbit1234 Thank you. That's the nicest comment. It's my "other", a place to relax and daydream. It's all set in the summer of 53. Nothing is newer on the layout. We are moving and I'm going to have to take it all down soon. Sad, but I love building so the next one will keep me going. Don
