Since no one out there has the decency to post the real clips of the actors saying the quotes and but quote it themselves (which by the way none who have attempted to do so was any good at it) I've decided to do the AFI Top 100 Movie quotes with the real actors who said it. I remember standing in a long line for the opening show of "2010." It was raining like heck and they wouldn't open the doors and let us in. The crowd was getting ugly. I heard people threaten to kick the doors in. I saw an usher walk by the inside of the doors.

"Open the pod bay doors, HAL"

I yelled.

He opened the door a crack. "I'm sorry, Dave. I can't do that."

I think that saved the evening....
