Forget America, CANADA will revolt if this happens. We're very self-conscious about our sovereignty over here in Canada because we have virtually none of it as it is, though most people don't realise it's that bad. We tend to take pride in even the subtlest differences between us and Americans and a union between us and America is sure to be resisted vehemently. @cyalaterthan is right about our compliance with government and evironmentalism but we are by no means compliant to American power.
