@MELLSBAD Extremist ideology, not atheism is responsible for violence and mass murder etc. There is no such thing as "violence in the name of atheism" because atheism isn't a belief in anything, so there' nothing to fight for. Superstition and religious ideology are the reasons for violence most of the time in this world.

Why do states with the highest proportion of Christians have the highest divorce rate, and those with the highest proportion of atheists the lowest

If you believe God did it, why would you look for a real answer? If you believe all that happens is God's will, why pray? You expect Him to change His Grand Plan so you can get laid? Why go to a doctor? If you're sick, if you're gonna die, God must want it that way.
