  • Nice video, but man I can't get the freaking retaining pin out of mine! I haven't shot it yet. I'm hoping it loosens up after a while.

  • @zachk1983 use the butt end of a screw driver and tap on the other side of the retaining pin while you have the slide in a half cock position

  • why is every dealer I go to bad mouthing kimbers lately and pushing the sig and springfield 1911, although non of them make a comparable one to the ultra and the pro. they keep telling me the quality is horrible and I will regret buying one. are any of competitors paying the dealers to do so, is there a larger profit margin? I have a pro and a raptor series 1 and love both, now want to get an ultra any help will be appreciated

  • The profit margin is there.Dealers can pick them up from their suppliers for around $780.00 with night sites on the Kimber Ultra carry II and their mark up is usually around 2 to 3 hundred added to that suppliers price. So the local gun shop owner will sell them between $950 to $1050. Ive had my kimber now for 2 years and It's still my favorite gun out of all my collection. I carry it on me every day. I have over 1000 rounds through now with no problems. break in took me around 300.

  • Also, When I went looking for my first 1911 @ the local gun show. I looked At every 1911 that they had there and the Kimber was the most impresses one. It had the best grip for a sup compact gun That I needed for carry conceal. The only other one I was kind of interested in was the para ordinance worthog but I didn't like the short hand grip on that one. So the Kimber Ultra Carry was the one for me.

  • Bravo!!! An excellent demonstration which was clear, concise and I don't think one word had to be spoken!! You should be a speech writer for some of these politicians. No really that was great. How do you like the little Kimber?? I notice there was some wear marks so I can tell you have shot it a bit. How many rounds to you think you have put thru it? Are you happy with it? Any grips or dissattisfactions? Just checking as this may be my next purchase. Sincerely, JAMES.

  • Thank you for the great comment and Yes I love my kimber, out of all the guns I own this is my most precious one of them all. Ive now shot over a thousand rounds and I haven't had any malfunctions at all. I did have a break in period of about 250 rounds and now , NO PROBLEM! When I clean my gun now I don't even have to use the break down tool anymore, I can take it down fast because its so well broken inn! Thanks again for the good comment. see ya

  • Does any body have the Kimber 45 Eclipse Ultra 2 and find that even knowing that the safety level is on and the hammer is cocked, that the safety level just might disengage for some reason ( Other than doing it your self) and that the firearm could fire by mistake. I just don't feel save knowing that the hammer is cocked all though the safety level is on. Any way to still be able to fire the weapon with out the hammer being cocked?

  • @JackSureshot

ooooohhhoooohhhhhh, I own a Kimber Ultra Ten II, but the Sig's are BEYOND nice!!!!!!!!!! EVERY round down range is instinctive, and lovely!! The Navy handed them out, and I fell in love with NAV armory crap....... That means that your own, well taken care of, chunk of heaven will be toast, warm, comfortable, of sexxxy! I do not work for SIG, but if teir armory were less expensive, the only other peice would be a Mk23 w/KAC silencer........

    yup, they are THAT NICE!!!!

  • Sweet.

  • Hey man, not flaming you, but it's bad for the gun if you rack the slide without a round being chambered. For those who want to argue or can't read, I am not saying the gun will be ruined or destroyed. Just stating a fact from the manual that comes with the gun and trying to save someone from possibly reducing reliability.

  • Thank you... without your video I would have NEVER gotten my gun back together, i.e getting the last pin back in. I first watched this video months ago just after I bought a new one and had to watch it Every Time I took the darn thing apart to clean it. I think I finally got it. Thanks again.

  • Now do it over with no tools.

  • Perfect video. More people should STFU.
