Album : The colour of spring
Piste : 6
Année : 03.1986

Sortie single : 06.1986 (face A)

From the place that I stand to the land that is openly free
Watching rivers run black by the trees that are vacant to greed

Give it up
Or tell me why I'm so wrong
Where does love come from
If you've sold your reasoning out

How can I learn if I don't understand what I see
If I'm giving this mess
Take a walk through a nightmare so real

Give it up
Or tell me why I'm so wrong
Where does love come from
When you're never been without

***

  • The epitome of perfection, a bloody masterpiece. One of the most perfect fucking damned songs ever written - I couldn't give a shit what any motherfrigging u2/floyd/oasis/coldplay fanatic says, TT are higher than all. And any fuckwit who comes back with "OYE PINK FLOYD/U2 ARE AWESOME! SCREW YOU, HAVE SOME RESPECT!" can suck my cock. They're as awesome as Britney Spears next to this level of pure genius.

  • Excellent track. Intensity of vocals - u feel it really matters to him - combined with the electric organ (is it Hammond ) or synth? Some of you 'T.T' experts maybe know

  • A beautiful song.Truly.

  • @JohnoEAL Yes it's a good song. It's not the greatest song ever, not even the best on this album I reckon. Why try & compare all that other stuff with Talk Talk? Mark Hollis would be the first to disavow any such bullshit.

  • @JohnoEAL I love this song, no doubt as much as you if not more, but don't knock Floyd. And don't compare Floyd to U2. For fucks' sake, man.

  • @bassattackmode4 Well....not period.

  • Fucking awesome.........

  • @JohnoEAL Seems like the fanatic here is you, but whatever...

  • Sung with total commitment love the guitar at the end

  • intense feel to this one we all relate to at one time or another

  • Oh yeah "Hammond" in the mid eighties "synth" area wauw! .-)
