POST OFFICE THEFT (TARZANA CALIFORNIA) ASSISTANCE REQUESTED IN ID OF SUSPECT

WE ARE REQUESTING THE PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING THE THEFT SUSPECT IN THIS POST OFFICE SURVEILLANCE VIDEO.

The theft occurred at the Tarzana, California, United State Post Office, at 5609 Yolanda AVE Tarzana, CA 91356, on Wed 30 Jun, 2010, at 1pm.

The thief (female, white, approx. 42 years old, black hair, large sunglasses, possibly of Iranian descent) arrives at the Tarzana Post Office with her young daughter, to pick up her mail which was on mail hold.

She notices a large box on the counter, checks out its weight, and decides to steal it; it is a valuable box that had been left on the counter for this clerk to process, minutes earlier. This box contained a $9,000.00 (Nine Thousand Dollars) piece of specialized CISCO computer network equipment, 25lbs, in a 20"x18"x10" brown carton box. It has no value to the average person or business. It was addressed and processed for USPS Express Mail International, to Australia. It is a critical piece of computer equipment required for the Australia government.

The thief returns minutes later, after presumably stashing the stolen box in her car, to collect the box of mail she originally came for; her young daughter trails behind her, and is visibly upset by the crime her mother just committed.

Possibly of Iranian descent ? Are you kiding me ? She could be hispanic, Latina, she could be arabic, or jewish...why possibly of Iranian descent. Is that the local obsession ? I know tons of farsi women, many do not look like her at all. Besides that bolony, if there was a tray full of mail for her, there has to be a trace of this in the post office since being stored for her. Looks like buisness mail in terms of quantity.
