This beautiful spring-fed stream tucked back in the West Michigan woodland holds some good Browns. The shallow, clear water enables a good close-up view of every strike. As you can tell from my reaction, it's pretty exciting. This Brown was released un-harmed.

  • I fly-fish a lot, occasionally on this stream though it's a pretty tight area for casting.

I always wet my hands before handling trout, including with this fish.

  • @elroberto22 try using a fly rod

  • its defo a brown

  • @elroberto22 yup defiantly a brown :)

  • @elroberto22

i thought the white tips on its lower fins looked quite brook-like

  • @elroberto22 that is a brook trout notice the white on his bottom fins. Brown trout do not have this as brookies do.

  • Looks like a stream I used to fish near Lawrence, Michigan. Some big browns in that one.

  • u blow

  • @toolman560 i dont need lessons. i was just pointing out the fact that its a lot more difficult

  • I love this kind of fishing. Where I live it's the same as this only coastal cutthroat trout instead of brown.
