My new harmonica is here:D It's a slightly altered Hohner Marine Band 364, made for me by German builder Thomas Hanke. Most of the harmonica is in G solo tuning, but on the lower end I've played around with the tuning a bit. I hardly ever play below the first D anyway, so I made the notes below that better suited for playing chords. Now I can play Cmaj, Fmaj, G open, A open, D open, E open and B open. I hope it will come in nice at times.
First part of this demo gives an idea of what these chords sound like and what I can do with them. Next, I play two reels (the Congress and Rip the Calico). As you can hear, the instrument sounds very bright, its got a quick response, and also it's surprisingly loud, which should come in handy at sessions.
Comments are welcome:)
