I will eat anything with peanut sauce on it. Chicken and pork sates, on plain rice or Gado-Gado (mixed vegetables with peanut sauce). Slap stews, eggplant, tofu, curries (hot and mild), fresh crab, prawns, fried bananas with lots of honey...there is very little I won't eat!

But the kicker is the price. Huge portions of food and a large Bintang Beer (shared by two) usually cost $10.00 U.S. Eat well at budget prices anywhere in Indonesia and, no surprise, we didn't lose a pound. The food was just too good.

  • Mouthwatering video, great idea of just a clip of local food. Makes me hungry and longing for a big, cold bottle of Bintang.

  • Thanks for commenting. I miss the chicken satay and peanut sauce already!
