Unboxing/Review of the PS3 Slim Vertical Stand by PEGA (Knock-off Brand)

I wanted to buy the official version of the stand, but with no luck I found out that they sold out at most of the game shops I visited. Only option left for me was go the third-party way.

I did think about that as well... But I couldn't find the licensed stand anywhere in any local game shop around my area. Only thing I could find was this. Plus, it is just a stand. As long as it helps support the console its good enough for me.

Is it harmful 4 ps3 to keep it vertical n play....??? b'coz sum times my ps3 makes crazy disc sound's if i play it vertically...!!!!

@owhsht310 Wth are you talking about? Even if you kept it at a nice temperature, the motherboard WILL warp, it's normal, the YLOD is from the solder balls under the chips, they're made with lead free solder. The reason for making cooler and smaller chips? So that the temperature change isn't so erratic that in a few years the solder balls will become brittle, shatter and stop making contact. If you care for your PS3 Slim, you'll keep it at least a foot away from everything in all directions...

The bottom of the Slim gets pretty hot, which causes the surface underneath it to trap heat. Everyone should get this to make sure that their PS3's motherboard won't crack or melt. (causes YLOD).

@aapinator Well it is kinda physically impossible for the a object that thin and wide to stand vertical, and it's not meant to stand vertically really.

Are you telling me that the PS3 slim can't stand vertically without a stand?! Fuck this bullshit. I just ordered a PS3, but I already had to buy an aditional HDMI cable, and now another stand? Fuck! I should've sticked with my Xbox 360, way cheaper and it can stand any way you want it to plus it comes with an HDMI cable. Oh well, my PS3 will come in this afternoon, curious what it's like.
