Fantastic. Thats possibly the best short rowing video I've seen. Very nicely done. I felt the hairs stand up on the back of my neck again.

Haven't seen this montage since 2000.
Every shot of the crowd makes my bottom lip wobble. His daughter is just great, especially at 2.32 ("Come on Briiitttaaaaiiiinnnn!!!!"). I'm a Dad and would love my daughter to be that proud of me.
What a top pro Redgrave is.....a never to repeated achievement.
Makes you proud!!

@cobberzlion Serious, O.G.-4 years-O.G-4 years-O.G. 4 years-O.G. 4years-O.G. 5 Olympic games, 16 years between the first and the last.
-
@cobberzlion It is, but the duration between his first and last medal is from 1984 to 2000. 5 Olympic games requires a 16 year period.
-
@empt60 no, 5 times 4 is 20
-
damn, thats remarkable for his age he looks pretty old. and shittt sub 6 in a 4??? wow

No matter how many times I watch this video. I will always get chills running down my spine.

@MisterJeffy Your point is valid, however, its not just the technique that makes a superb rower - its also the determination and passion. That is why the "fluff" is so important, it gives a person the determination to become and extraordinary athlete.
-
I wish the video had been shot to reveal more of Redgrave's rowing techniques, particularly his reach and the timing of his release and recovery, The human interest fluff that makes up most of this video is unimportant. How this extraordinary athlete moved in the boat was truly important. It's an opportunity lost.
