  • i am getting a peavey 6505+ in a few days and wanted to know if you actually got that amount of distortion out of the amp without a pedal? i have a full bore metal pedal, but im thinking of getting something that doesnt overwelm my notes with alot of distortion. any suggestions?

  • @densonguitars1 you cool man your going to be so happy with it its an amazing head. i actually got all that distortion just from the amp it self, now i don't what you listen to or play but i really dont think you will need more distortion what the amp has. this amp will get as clean as you want it to or as heavy as you want it to.

  • @densonguitars1 and as for distortion pedals go i dont really use pedals much at all but i do have a few, for distortion i use a Boss ML-2 Metalcore and also run a Boss Equalizer GE-7 so i really can mess around with the tone, i also us a Boss Noise Suppressor NS-2 to get rid of feed back and all that shit you just dont want to hear. but if i was going to run any pedals with the 6505+ it would just be the Boss Noise Suppressor NS-2 because that amp truly just sounds great as is

  • Nice guitar. This Epiphone Custom is of very high quality and has great metal looks, similar

    to In Flames, Napalm Death.

what tuning did you have ? again drop E like in your other video ? and I guess because

you sit in a shop, the guitar had regular strings (10-52) ?

    Thanks

  • @DragonBolo your 100% right man its a beautiful guitar and it just screams metal. actually im only in drop C this time and i think the strings were 10-46 but im not to to sure about that. thanks for watching man :) i hope you liked it

  • Wow that Rocks ... Thumbs Up !

  • You post more like this and I'll subscribe. Too good to forget, not enough to subscribe to. You ring old-school and I need more

  • @MetalDerrik just some advice: get more mids. btw, your riffs kinda remind of daath.

  • @DragonBolo emg's sound like crap. better notice a difference.

  • @DragonBolo drop E would be an 8 string tuned one step down! quite hard to aquire with string gauges under 14-64! dude, thats a whole fucking octave down!

  • @densonguitars1 Dude. 6505+ has more gain then you'll ever need. Seriously, Threat Signal used 6505s with the gain at 5.5. I have one, these amps are absolutely amazing ;-)

Also for the distortion pedal, try a Blackstar pedal? I know those are awesome.

  • yes I liked it.

many people claim that you have to change PUs on a Epiphone, but this Custom has very good ones, can be even used for metal. I compared them to guitars with EMG 81, no big difference .....

  • Great meter, sounds like you could lock into a clicktrack for recording.
