They're putting their focus on future Star Wars films. Even after Episode VII is released they won't do the re-releases. They will focus on the stand alone films and main installments. Same thing Disney does with Marvel films and The Avengers.

thanks for pointing out the obvious genius. That doesn't make it right. That's major role reversal and contradictory. Having a mentor be the rebellious one and having the young padawan be the old and wise one would be like having palpatine be the hero of the story. But I don't really care what you have to say. You're clearly the kind of person who would shove your head a mile up your ass to find an excuse.

How about episode 4, 5 or 6? They have better story lines, 1, 2 and 3 were bought out afterwards to show the buildup to the greatest trilogy ever.

First of all, if you're going to complain about star wars, then most prefer you to do it properly. Qui Gon showed initiative in wanting to train Anakin as he sees a strong forceful element in him, and believes he will bring balance to the force. Obi Wan senses the sith's disruption of the force and this is why he is doubtful, as well as the sudden rush in Qui Gon's meeting with Anakin... and the main character of episode 1 is Anakin as he is the forceful one. That is all.
