Antelope and Western 1, an 1889 Porter 0-4-0, backs onto its train at Deer Park Station in Ardenwood Historic Farm Regional Park in Fremont, California during the 2011 Labor Day Railfair. This was A&W 1's first time back at the Railfair since 2008. The other train, pulled by Anne Marie, arrives and pulls by on the other track to clear the main. Number 1 runs to the other end of the line at Ardenwood Station.

  • @strokedmustang66: The track the train runs on is about the same length it has been. Beyond Deer Park, I think it got extended some to reach the new car barn they are building.

  • We haven't changed the track in a couple of years. The track into the barn is not yet laid (we are waiting on permits). When it is laid it will add about another 600' of track (three or four sidings too!) into the car barn (which is built) but not occupied.

I'd like to get in there this winter.

  • is the track longer now? its been a few yrs since Ive been.
