This is a guide for installing an ATI HD 5770 with a single monitor.

Retail OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 was installed, updated to combo version 10.6.4 and patched using iBoot-ATI-5XXX-2 and MultiBeast 2.1.1.

  • Do you know if the Asus 5770 will work out of box with Lion on a mac pro? Ive been hearing rumors that Lion is now supporting many ATI video cards (pc) out of the box..

  • Hey there beelzeb0z0, I watch all your hackintosh videos and they are a huge help. I just bout a hd5570 and I had it working while connected to DVI. But I tried swiitching to HDMI and the display would turn black after white apple screen on boot. I tried to switch back to DVI but it also gives me a black screen now. Tried booing in verbose but same thing. Suggestions?

  • Very Nice, we must thank you!!!

Works very very fine on my PC:

    Phenom II X2 555 @X4 3.8GHz - ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO - 2x2 DDR3 1333 - Saphire HD5770 , with Snow Leopard 10.6.

    Good Luck aways!!!
