New 2.8ghz Dual Quad Core Mac Pro - Upgrading RAM from 2gb to 16gb. Ended up having 18gb total.

  • could u do a super multitasking now u got 18gb ram? i would like you to go to program folder mark every program and open them all at the same time :) i did try this with 2gb ram on a mac pro but it was freezing for some second but the programs was really haevy stuff and my there was 50 programs but i liked you to do some multitasking and open everything in program folder at once at same time :) on your mac pro

  • how much did it cost in total? and how many 4gig chips can you put in a mac pro g5?

  • cool. what speed does that ram run at ?

  • multitasking would be better with the 15 gigs, but it really only depend son the CPU, ram is mistly meant for speeding up starting up programs, it stores info about programs say...you happen to use photoshop alot, your system will recognize that and store the start up info on the ram and itll open alot faster, now, how fast the program actually is depends n the CPU, but sir, im not sure if i heard your correctly, did you mean a core 2 duo? or seriously a dual waud core system?
