Didn't get a chance to know her as a person but served with in the same unit in Iraq with her. I saw her a lot at the chow hall though and she always had a smile on her face!. She loved life and kept morale high over their. RIP LCPL Navarro

Stops my heart for a minute. :'( I was actually in Boot Camp at P.I., had just finished Rifle week, and our SDI(-who remember exactly who she was) came into our squadbay to inform us of what had just happened. We had a moment of silence for this brave devil dog. Rest in Peace girl. <3 Semper Fi.

I went to boot camp with Navarro. It's shocking, seeing this. She really was an incredible Marine. I remember when we were preparing for uniform inspections and she ironed about half of verybody's trousers because she was so good at it. She stayed up almost the entire night. She got honor grad even though she wasn't the Platoon guide. She didn't know any guidon manual, but she still managed to pull it off. She was exceptional.
