  • I am such a fan of this cartoon.....tara was the 1st grl i ever fantasized about..:D:D

  • classic

  • activate Preparation H, Hemmorhoids! uh, Herculoids! in 1960s there was Johnny Quest (giant robot eyeball spiders with rays), and supergirls in halter costumes and cave bikinis! by the 1980s, the movies, TV, and paper publications were homogenized (by the evil Homo Genius, religious college professor gone anti-life). all they played on TV was from big companies, all repeats, all jerky, repulsive, and dull! (to get you to leave the TV and go spend money). the Internet is crippled by them too.

  • Does anyone know if they have the version where they introduce each creature? They were showing this on Boomerang not too long ago. I'm missing it! :-(

  • Herculoids was weird and wonderful, and I'm sure that alot of cartoon artist referenced this.

  • Igoo always got his ass STOMPED by some random monster.robot because he rushed in with a rock-ape temper tantrum!! Then Zok, Tundro, Gloop and Gleep always had to bail him out!! I LOVED THIS CARTOON!

  • Igoo was OK. Gloop and Gleep were cool. Tundro was a badass with his cannon snout.

BUT.... Zok remains, to this day, one of the coolest creatures ever penned.

A flying space dragon that shoots hi-powered lasers from his eyes and tail. Sometimes he can produce a beam with his eyes that neutralizes his opponents energy. (The "nega-beam')

  • Ralph brought me here (KROQ) thumbs up

  • By the way, "Herculoids" was actually produced in 1967, but WAS rerun throughout the 1970's.

This theme music was one of the most iconic theme songs for a cartoon series ever.

BTW, "Herculoids" (along with "Space Ghost") was revived in the early 1980's in a less violent form.
