  • Anyone read his book "Notebook From Hell"? Great writing.

  • @tonlo92 No I haven't! I might ask him about it - I never heard of it before. What's it like?

  • RH was really funny and poetic. I often wonder why you don't hear more about him. Boy, that picture of him....he looks like he could be the son of Frankenstein's monster. Blank Generation is a great album, this song should have been on there.

  • I've wondered that too. He's a great songwriter, Blank Generation is a classic record. He's a very nice guy too, always offering his fans gifts and the like. It's a marvel he sells any books that way!

  • @ClashCityRockers0 a reworked version of this song does appear on their next album Destiny Street recorded 8 years later.

  • @RossM3838 I do know that.

  • This is one fantastic song. The Voidoids were one of the finest punk bands ever; they had lyrical smarts, great songs, a wealth of musicianship, yet remain criminally underrated. If for nothing else, Hell deserves our thanks for getting Robert Quine back into playing his sublime jazz-punk guitar (he'd actually given up years before!).

  • Is that Marc Bell (marky ramone) on drums?

  • richerd hell liked dildoes with replaceable heads becouse Dee Dee Ramone kept wearing em out rammin em in richerds ass....thats what this song is based upon....,,,dipshits...........

  • @pazzensutra Was? Is! Richard is alive and well and just as talented and funny and as ever.

  • I've heard 3 versions of this song. All fantastic.

  • I think you don't hear much about Richard because he wasn't mainstream at all and frankly neither was Lester Bangs, hence little play was granted. Sad

  • @ClashCityRockers0 Its a small book called "Artifact! Notebooks from Hell 1974-1980" you can find it on Amazon.
