  • Have you thought of the visual effects business over the actual movie making process?

  • i have and i really want to follow that career path but i want a background in film before i go into that area. I do know more than many people learning this stuff in college though lol. i love after effects. i see you have some pretty neat stuff with after effects. Thanks for your commentary i REALLY appreciate it and i agree with the stuff your saying. Ill keep in touch with you. Just so you know im remaking my entry film. I plan to write something that has a better flow and incorporates SFX.

  • If your applying for a film college you probably shouldn't use special effects.. they usually don't like them unless they were ABSOLUTELY essential to the process. Tell a story through just your actors and the camera, not with After Effects (lol, just for now, and your application video)

  • I read your cmt but there was no way to reply. I dont want to make you sound stupid or anything but each shot in that movie was done with a tri-pod. i had no choice i acted and had to shoot it aswell so that was that. And the whole point of the submission is to show that you can tell a story within a short period of time.

  • alright I get it, but if your trying to get into a film school, then it just needs to be a little bit more promising. but i see that you are very good with after effects, but i bet you haven't or rarely incorporate that skill into an actual story telling short? By blandness in your shots I am saying perhaps a following shot, some symbolism, recurring themes, the footage looked a little shaky, and if you don't have good auidio, then use no dialogue.

  • Cinematic value? brother im a kid with a camcorder and Forgive me if im wrong but im no professional. i accept your criticism i do. im not upset i just wanted to correct you on a few things. and if you look at most of my shots the way everything is shot is just like it would be in a real film. over the shoulders for convos, establishing shots, bust shots, horizon long shots. i have no mics so the audio sucks but whatever. i just wanted to give you a head up. please dont take this the wrong way.
