GM FISH

A very special gold fish with some unusual new genes is playing Dr Jawkill and Mr Tyde.

To be eaten or not to be eaten is that the question? For more than a decade we have been scared of eating genetically modified food but for several millennium or ancestors have played with nature original genetic make-up by selecting crops (Wheat, Corn, Rice....) and domesticating wild animals (Cows, Pork, Chicken, Dogs...). Obviously modern techniques allow much more and the injection of new genes into old plant or animal cells has taken us into another evolution dimension. Now the sky is the limit but is it, maybe the bottom of the sea is the new frontier. Who eats who might be the next fundamental question.
