Power Spot Self Spotting Dumbbell Machine demonstrated with Bowflex dumbbells

Bowflex dumbbells demonstrated on a self spotting dumbbell machine developed by Darrell Greenland. The machine can also be used with Powerblocks, Iron Master, Hoist, as well as Ivanko Pro Style dumbbells. An Olympic barbell can be placed in the holders for squats and barbell presses. The Power Spot can replace the Smith Machine and has more free range of motion than a Jones Club and is much safer than a conventional bench press. The built in lat pull feature provides a high and low pulley. This weight machine has a small foot print which makes it ideal for a home gym.

Looks good, but only thing.. How are you supposed to do dumbbell flys ?

@ishnoo94 That's a good questions. Actually yes you can do dumbbell flys but not really well in this particular prototype. I will address that in a final version of the power spot. Please see my newest power spot video where I've already made some other improvements so you can use an olympic barbell and rack barbells and dumbbells. Superb... You are simply a genius... I loved the idea and the machine...

You need to partner with people like Powertech or Body Solid to bring this baby to the market. I would definitely buy one as I currently use Powertech leverage and miss on the feel of the free weights. Your invention brings the best of both worlds in one package. You need to go and invent a machine in heavier gauge for heavy home lifters though.
