Episode 5
DD: Hey Guys, go and get ready, Taylor's family is going to be here soon.
Demi: Yes Dad.
Nick and Demi went up the stairs.
Nick: I thought we were going to tell him.
Demi: It's better to wait until Saturday, Miley and Joe deserve to be here when we tell them.
Nick: Ok, let's get ready for the worst night of our lives.
Demi and Nick change into something more formal, something they hated. They both were sitting on the living room couch. Demi was playing with her necklace, while Nick was tapping his feet. The doorbell rang, they both got up and went towards the entrance of the house. Their dad opened the door.
DD: John Lautner, it's so good to see you again.
JL: You too David Lovato. This is my wife Victoria my son Taylor and Taylor's friend Selena.
DD: This is my wife Dianne, my son Nick and my daughter Demi.
JL: Nice to meet you all.
Demi and Nick: Nice to meet you too.
Demi's and Taylor's parents went into the living room, while Demi, Nick, Taylor and Selena, went into the den that belonged to Nick and Demi.
Taylor: Demi, you are a very pretty girl, and I can't wait for our date Friday.
Demi*lie*: I can't wait either.
Selena: Nick, I would really like to get to know you better.
Nick*lie: Same here.
Nick and Demi talked to Taylor and Selena for a while before dinner was ready, and they were lying through their teeth. In the back of their minds, Joe and Miley were on their minds.
*At Dinner*
JL: Demi, Nick you two are twins isn't that right?
Demi: Yeah that is right.
JL: Are you guys close?
Nick: Yeah we are, very close, best friends pretty much.
VL: That is very sweet. Know how is it that neither of you are dating anyone, Demi you are beautiful and Nick is very handsome.
DM: Thank you very much and Taylor is very handsome as well. Selena is a very pretty girl.
Selena: Thank You Mrs. Lovato. That is very sweet of you to say.
After making small talk at dinner, Demi and Nick were dreading each second being nice to these two people who wanted them. All of them were sitting in the living room, the parents were drinking wine while Nick, Demi, Selena and Taylor were drinking sparkling cider.
Taylor: So Demi where would you like to go on our date on Friday?
Demi: Anywhere you want to take me.
Taylor: How about my bedroom?
Demi: Not happening.
For the rest of the night they all just talked, they all seemed like they were having a great time. Except Demi and Nick, they wanted this night to be over as soon as possible they were relieved when Taylor's father had said that it was getting late. They got up and said their goodbye's. When they left their father seemed so pleased.
DD: They are such great people. Demi I think Taylor is such a great guy, you will have a wonderful time on your date and then you will be engaged and married, and then...
Demi: Woah Dad, back up there, let's first see how this date goes. Ok.
DD: Fine. Well I will be in my study if anyone needs me.
Demi: Mom. I can't do this.
DM: I know sweetie, but just go on this one date for your father.
Demi: Mom, me and Nick decided to tell Dad Saturday.
DM: really? Why?
Demi: Mom I have been with him for 2 years it will be exactly 2 years Saturday and I am tired of sneaking and hiding around Dad's back.
Nick: So am I. I love Miley and Demi loves Joe and they love us, shouldn't that matter.
DM: It does, let's hope your father takes it well. You two better get to bed.
Nick and Demi: Night Mom.
DM: Night you two.
