Just a question... What do you think? Idolatry or not?
Do these scriptures apply or not?
LEVITICUS 19:4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I [am] the LORD your God.
Leviticus 26: 1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up [any] image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I [am] the LORD your God.

The Second Commandment of Exodus 20:
"4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments."

So what do you think. Idolatry?
I know it is...

  • I'm certainly not comfortable with it. I've never liked images of Christ. Plus, think of the time, effort, and money that goes into the construction of something like that, and think of what wonderful, helpful, and necessary things those resources could be used toward instead. There are souls that need saving! That's how we glorify the Lord, by bringing people to him. Bibles and missionary supplies can help. A statue won't save anyone!

  • @theveryelect24 Now that's a great point. I don't feel comfortable about it either and the waste of resources is a point that has not been made. Amen!

  • hope you like the convo and aren't upset we are messaging up your video lol.

  • @indibabs122275 Not a problem at all. I really think it's an important discussion. Thanks for the input!

  • soapstone really? whoever made that is planning for it to fall anyway using such a weak material as that

  • @theveryelect24 true , God said not worship creation. Not to worship things he creates. Not to worship symbols or angels or Churches , but they do

  • @vudumojo That's the point. New Age or mixed the pagan things with the so-called Christian things. The Catholic church had a lot to do with that. And had a lot of control and Constantine mixing the holidays to make them "Christian" to get conversions didn't help either. I just hope that people see these things so we won't be deceived and know to live by the Bible alone and what's in it.

  • @indibabs122275 That's true. And also in these paintings/sculptures they do the same thing for angels when the Bible describes them as having four or six wings not two. The two wings came from Greek mythology with some of their false gods, as did the halos with other pagan religions, because it never mentions angels having halos in the Bible. Also when these so called Mary apparitions appear, she looks like the ones in the paintings and tell people to worship her and not God. Red flag.

  • Also been watching videos on this New Age moment and Benjamin Creme and he said that his "Christ" that they compare to Muhammad, Pagan Prophets and even Jesus and try and put them on the same level. Obviously, they aren't the same with Jesus being the only way to God. However, his so called "Christ" looks exactly like the Jesus in the paintings that we know about today. So this could be a way to deceive real followers into believing in a false Jesus/Christ.

  • @vudumojo but in the Bible it does tell us things about Jesus with his appearance such as hair like wool and bronze skin. The Jesus in the paintings/statues are not Jesus but people are taught that it's him and same with Mary, God, other prophets to fit with the European standards at the time. Also a lot of people weren't allowed to read the Bible or illiterate during those times periods as well. So for me the statues are paintings are a form of idolatry, esp. when worshiped.

  • @vudumojo thanks for ur comments, like i say i have let Jesus into my heart and I have faith he will guide me at the right times, god bless

  • it is an abomination and so is zues and the statue of liberty the pagen god. and so is everything why god has a problem with jesus i do not know. even crosses are wrong to have with jesus on them it symbolizes death but to me it symbolizes gods sacrifice to us and our allegiance to him but god is not of any symbols he is of the mind spirit and words.
