Unfortunately most victims dont know how the system works. The biggest red flag for me would have been what Suzzane Murphy said, and I quote, "When Bernie bought a security it was almost always at or right near the low of the day, and when he sold it was always at or right near the high of the day." Unless you have divine powers, this just isn't plausible.
