My step-father makes it. He makes it in large quantities and he started trying to make it really concentrated. I don't know how dark pine needle tea is supposed to be because I've only ever had experience with his. He uses bristlecone pine needles if that makes a difference. He probably puts in way more pine needles than necessary in his quest for super concentrated tea.
